Rethinking Creativity in the Workplace
Rethinking communication: boosting creativity
There is one thing, that I really, really enjoy in the workplace. That, is when management let’s you prove yourself, let you show your problem-solving skills and your abilities to develop ideas. I am a huge supporter of bringing creativity into the workplace. The reality? According to statistics, 75% of respondents feel like they are forced to be productive rather than to be creative.
As a coach in creative communication and business English, I work to change that. Understanding, acknowledgement, and trust are things that people value a lot in their job. Employees want to know that their boss and the management team let their workers unfold and express themselves. Part of self-expression, is to be able to speak up about tips, suggestions, ideas for improvement and company growth.
Protocols and processes in the workplace are only good if they give employees and the company a boost. To reflect on that and develop the business, we have to think creatively. We have to be creative about the things that we are supposed to be productive in doing.
That is exactly why my coaching focuses on applying the English language as a tool to develop a healthy work culture that allows employees to think, develop, innovate and create. The way we think, speak, and write, shapes the internal communication and so rethinking word choices can have a massive, positive impact on you and everyone else.
Encouragement, empathy, strong team dynamics, and time for brainstorming and other creative activities, are all components to help do exactly that.
May you have an inspirational year full of happiness and nice surprises!
Best regards,
