Your Creative Space: What Is It?
What do you call yours?
There’s that place that you, and everyone else interested in creative thinking, eventually finds. It’s not one specific area that’s commonplace. We each have our own. It’s that place where you feel safe enough to step out of your comfort zone and create something hearty and inspirational. It’s a place where ideas come true. You might even have a name for it, even without knowing it. Here’s a few ideas that I have come across:
Creative nook/area/office/room/corner/space: This simply refers to the place, where you like to be creative.
Relaxation zone: This is the space where you feel no pressure and you can enjoy the World of creativity unconcernedly. It’s the place where you have the opportunity to get rid of stress.
Recharge zone: This one is different from the relaxation zone. How so? Well, relaxing is about stress relief. Recharging is about getting yourself hyped up to enjoy the day and to be curious about what will happen.
Refreshment area: This is the area where you get to feel like new perspectives are coming your way. Like the metaphor states: it’s a breath of fresh air. It’s the place where you feel like you are able to forget about the past and focus on thinking outside of that “box” so many people refer to. That could be indoors, in your greenhouse, or quite literally out in the open air.
Brainstorming spot: This refers to a certain place, where you feel like you have the resources to wonder about or question anything and everything. It’s like an idea room, where you are surrounded by abstract concepts that make you tilt your head and think: “Huh, that could be cool, I should try to do that right now!”
Dream zone: It’s the workspace where you pursue your creative future. It’s the space where you dare to dream and develop an overview of what you need to learn to reach your goals. It is where you go to make your dreams come true.
Inspiration zone: This is the place where colors, plants, pictures, and all the creative decor inspires you to ride the creative wave and explore ideas.
Collaboration space: Not all things creative are done in solitude. Discussing ideas with people, to find direction for your project, is a great eye-opener. Who knows, you might even get the idea to collaborate on something! An alternative is to sit in a common place, where other people sit/stand/walk to develop their ideas. A creative atmosphere, combined with a colorful interior and decor, really has a way of welcoming you to be creative.
A Note
If more than one of them resonates with you, that’s fine! This post is just an invitation for you to consider how you perceive your creative space. Let’s hear it, what’s the name or term you use for your space? Feel free to comment below!
Have an inspirational day full of happiness and nice surprises!
